In 1986 Robin Winters traveled to the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam. His distinctive persona among visual artists is in itself an act of resistance against all that he sees as ludicrous and unjust in the world around him.
In the middle of the room was a transparent tube from the ceiling to the floor. From the tube a steady stream of drawings felt down. If you looked up through the tube, you saw Robin Winters draw. He saw me looking and signaled me to come up via a ladder. There we looked down en saw the visitors looking up.
